Yoshitomo Ohara

I'm the 16th Successor of Jigoemon, a name passed down from generation to generation since 1575, along with the traditional technique for making Johana makie lacquer ware, transmitted from father to one son. Makie is a unique Japanese decorating style in which gold or silver dust is sprinkled onto a pattern or drawing in lacquer; Johana makie features a characteristic white color, and a variety of other natural colors and shading to faithfully represent scenes of flowers and birds.
