  • 1959 Graduated from Tachikawa Daisan Junior High School, Tachikawa City, Tokyo
  • 1962 Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei High School, Woodwork Course
    Joined Kamakurabori manufacturer Hakkodo Co., Ltd. and studied wood joinery and hollow work
  • 1964 Selected for the 11th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time
  • 1969 Studied wood turning at Konishi Woodworking Studio in Shogawa Town, Toyama
  • 1971 Becomes Full Member of the Japan Kōgei Association
  • 1978 Starts his own business in woodworking
  • 1987 Assistant Professor at Takaoka National College, Industrial Craft Department
  • 1997 Professor at Takaoka National College, Industrial Design Departent
  • 2000 Evaluator at the 47th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
    Took part in the "International Woodturning Symposium 2000" in Germany
