By using very thin silver wires that are 1.5 mm high and 0.06 mm thick for my wired cloissone, I am able to make very delicate outlines. I produce deep colors by applying layers of translucent glaze and baking,

  • 1974 Learns wired cloisonne techniques from Atsuyoshi Hori, President of cloisonne manufacturer, "Yosai Kogei" while working in the company (– 82)
  • 1983 Moves to Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture
  • 1993 Selected for the East Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition for the first time (selected 11 times from this year onward)

  • 1997 Submitted to the '97 International Exchange Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition at Goethe-Institut, Akasaka, Tokyo
  • 1998 Wired Cloisonne Incense Burner "Sakura (Cherry Blossoms)" to become a commemoration gift for President Kim Dae-jung's wife on her visit to Japan
