1976 Graduated from Urushi Work Course, Kagawa Prefectural Takamatsu-Kougei High School
1977 Studied under urushi-work artist MURAOKA Shigeki
1981 Completed Researcher Program at Urushi Lacquer Ware Institute, Kagawa Prefecture
1983 Developed lacquer board togidashi technique and later changed the name to irokiri urushi
2007 Attended a successor training course of important intangible cultural property
(raden (mother-of-pearl inlay) technique) and received guidance in the thick shell mother-of-pearl
inlay technique from KITAMURA Shosai

1983Selected for the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition (first time)
1987Full member, Japan Kogei Association
2011Received the Kagawa Board of Education Award at the Kagawa Art Exhibition
2012Received the Takamatsu MItsukoshi Award at the Traditional Crafts Shikoku Exhibition
2014Received the Sanuki Lacquer Art Museum Director's Award at the 1st National Urushi Art Grand Prix
