  • 1967 Started training at a Kaga-yuzen studio in Kanazawa City
  • 1974 Became an independent Yuzen artist
  • 1975 Selected for the 22nd Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition for the first time
  • 1999 Specially invited to submit to the 50 maîtres :les arts appliqués dans le Japon contemporain (Mitsukoshi Etoile, France)
  • 2006 Received the Medal with Purple Ribbon
  • 2010 Designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder of “Yuzen”

  • 1991Received the Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner’s Award at the 28th Japan Traditional Textile Arts Exhibition
  • 1995Received the Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner’s Award at the 32nd Japan Traditional Textile Arts Exhibition
