Shinya Nishida

Forming black (gray) clay on the potter's wheel and then line engraving. After drying, the vessel is colored with colored clay and biscuit fired at 850℃. White clay is inlaid in the engraved lines, followed by glazing with transparent glaze and is glost fired at 1280℃.

  • 1978 Graduated from Tokyo Craft Design Institute, Ceramics Major
    Joined Happu Pottery Studio (Mie), Design Department. Designed western tableware and made one-off pieces.
