I was born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and my family background includes my grandfather, who taught glaze at an art university, and my father, a craft artist; after working as a salary-man, I joined the world of ceramic art. I make the best use of the Kutani ware texture, overglaze colors, metals and other traditional materials, and produce ceramics with an emphasis on creative design patterns, which bring out abstractness from concreteness.

- 2008Received the Excellence Award at the Traditional Kutani Ware Crafts Exhibition. Work was later purchased by the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art
- 2009Received Honourable Mention at the Contemporary Art Exhibition
