Kotaro Omura

Using itome yuzen and a battick dyeing technique called ro fubuki zome where melted hot wax is sprayed onto the fabric before dyeing. I get hints for my designs from my sketches of nature.

  • 1997 Graduated from Kyoto Saga Art College, Faculty of Environmental Design
    Studied under Akeshi Kihara and Kihachiro Yoshida
  • 2004 Started producing kimonos under his father Teiichi Omura
