OSHIYAMA incorporates Japanese natural phenomena and scenery, including animals and plants, as the typical design images of her work. In the color expression of her metalworks she stresses the importance of Japanese sensitivity. Her main technique involves an effect of swirling patterns created by fusing two or more kinds of metals; she also uses joining and chasing, and explores further artistic expression by combinations of these techniques.
