  • 1962 Born in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture as the eldest son of ceramic artist MATSUI Kosei (Living National Treasure)
  • 1985 Graduated from the Program in Carving in the School of Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba. Studied under his father at Gessouji Ceramic Studio
  • 1991 Selected for the 38th Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition (Selected successively to date)
  • 1992 Selected for the 32nd Japanese Traditional Art Crafts New Works Exhibition (Selected successively to date)
  • 1993 Selected for the 12th Japanese Ceramic Arts Exhibition (Selected for the 13th to 16th Exhibitions)
  • 1994 Solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. Full member, Japan Kogei Association
