Saori Mizuhashi

Hand-drawn Yuzen using resist paste for fine-line printing. I try to design kimonos that match our current life style.

  • 1997 Graduated from Bunka Gakuen University Junior College, Department of Apparel and Space Design
  • 2000 Graduated from Otsuka Textile Design Technical School, Textile Dyeing Department, Yuzen Dyeing Course (current Waseda International Business College Textile Design Course)
    Entered "Somesho Komachi-en" (Kamakura, Kanagawa)
    Studied under Japan Kogei Association Full Member, Norihito Sakai
    Selected for the 16th All Japan Dyed Textiles Exhibition sponsored by the Silk Museum (selected 5 times from this year onward)
  • 2010 Becomes independent
    Selected for the 50th East Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition (selected 5 times from this year onward)
  • 2020 Selected for the 67th Japan Traditional Kōgei Exhibition
  • 2021 Becomes part-time lecturer at Joshibi University of Art and Design
    Selected for the 55th Textiles Traditional Kōgei Exhibition

    (Received the Technical Award at the 40th, Honorable Mention at the 46th, Incentive Award at the 47th, Sengeiten Award at the 51st, The Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Award at the 54th, and Sengeiten Award at the 55th)

  • 2012Received the Silk Museum Grand Award at the 21st All Japan Dyed Textiles Exhibition sponsored by the Silk Museum
